    Apex has partnered one of their premier partners in Detroit, MI looking for Direct Hire Lab Technician to join the team.

    What your day will look like:

    • Operate and maintain lab equipment
    • Perform laboratory tests to produce reliable and precise data
    • Follow strict methodology and perform analyses
    • Complete appropriate paperwork and documentation and maintain electronic records
    • Communicate effectively to maintain a high level of quality, productivity, safety and environmental compliance
    • Perform routine maintenance on process solutions and tanks
    • Participate positively and effectively in problem solving

    What we are looking for:

    • Basic knowledge of algebra and wet chemistry experience a PLUS
    • Minimum 1 year of work or internship experience in a lab
    • Preferably 2 years of college in a science program, coursework may include inorganic chemistry and the successful completion of algebra
    • Physical requirements including, but not limited to: the ability to move frequently around the lab , manufacturing floor and lifting / moving items up to 50 lbs Good written and verbal communication skills
