Responsibilities:


Job Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Ensure crew adheres to all safety procedures. Identifies and mitigates new/unrecognized hazards
  • Supervise/coordinate all steelmaking activities and casters' production and maintenance activities
  • Maintain casting quality standards required for prime production
  • Manage shift personnel by providing guidance, training, and scheduling of crew members
  • Communicate and coordinate with other shifts and departments

Qualifications:

Experience/Requirements:


Required:


  • Safety minded focus
  • Melting, Casting and/or Rolling experience and knowledge of steelmaking
  • 5+ years' experience as leader of coworkers
  • Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good decision making ability

Preferred:


  • General computer knowledge
  • General mechanical/electrical/PLC understanding
