- Performs typical maintenance tasks to support the assembly floor and the entire facility.
- Detects and reports defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
- Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
- Performs prescribed preventative maintenance on machinery and the building or grounds as required.
- Required to work within our Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) reporting all work performed, parts used during repair and maintenance tasks.
- Customer Focus; the individual must have a positive attitude towards helping others achieve their responsibilities. This will include set up and break down of various events both on site and at nearby local properties.
- Communication Proficiency; candidate shall have a basic understanding of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word to properly fill out data logs as required for compliance tracking.
- Problem Solving/Analysis; the ability to trouble-shoot and repair medium size pieces of production equipment. A basic understanding of electrical and pneumatic systems is beneficial.
- Knowledge of Electrical systems and able to do minor repairs, ballast and re-lamping functions.
- Knowledge of pneumatics as it pertains to production equipment is a plus.
- An understanding of general building maintenance including minor building repairs.
- Most importantly, being a team player within the organization, which is often fast paced. Understanding the time is important to others and supporting their goals to assist in making the company departments successful.
- High school or technical school education and three years of factory-related experience in a maintenance environment.

Job Title: Facilities Technician
Pay Rate: $20 - $24/hr
Duration: 4-6 months
Location: Carlsbad, CA 92008
Work Schedule: Shift(s) Details: 1st shift (6am or 6:30am start)
Summary/Objective
The facilities technician assists with the day to day maintenance of the facilities, the production equipment within the facility and special work projects to supports the individual departments within the company. Candidate will also support maintenance functions in Tijuana Mexico and must be able to travel to Mexico.

Competencies
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. However, the position requires overnight on-call duty and the ability to work during nonstandard hours when the need arises. Hours may be able to be adjusted if necessary.
Travel
Travel to Mexico may be required to support operations within the Tijuana area. Travel is never alone, and always with escorts across the border.
Required Education and Experience
Preferred Education and Experience:
1. Experience with electro-mechanical system including pneumatics.
2. Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) a plus but not required.
3. Forklift and Scissor Lift experience is a plus or training will be provided.
