- Prepare reconciliations of accounts as assigned in Blackline.
- Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.
- Prepare and Post transactions in the general ledger.
- Prepare tie outs, organize, and update financial records to ensure accurate reporting.
- Prepare reports and projections based on financial data.
- Prepare reports requiring follow-up on atypical billing cycles.
- Timely reconciliation of FCIC escrow bank account
- Monthly assist in escheatment processes
- Perform testing to ensure accuracy of system reporting related to commission and payments.
- Support in monthly and quarterly financial close in a timely manner.
- Communicate and coordinate tasks with other staff members.
- Provide backup for other staff members and train other staff members to be backup on necessary tasks.
- Perform other duties as directed.
- Excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, particularly Excel.
- Experience using accounting software.
- Knowledge of SAP Software is a plus.
- Desire to grow through continuous training.
- Must be self-motivated.
- Must be responsible for deadlines and timely with workload and schedule.
- Communicate clearly, openly, and effectively both verbally and in writing.

Position Summary

The Financial Accountant is responsible for the preparation of supporting schedules and detailed records of AgriSompo North America. The Financial Accountant is responsible for preparation of reports showing correct accounting treatment of Company activity.

Education
Required - High school diploma or equivalent or equivalent work experience
Strongly Preferred- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or other related field required or equivalent relevant work experience.
Experience
A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Physical Demands & Requirements
Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
