The Department of Traffic Management at Chesapeake Landing is currently seeking a qualified Engineer (m/f/d) to join our team in the field of operations technology. Our department is dedicated to ensuring safe and efficient traffic flow on the streets and paths of Cologne, by foot and with all modes of transportation, through innovative, connected, and intelligent solutions.

This position is within the Traffic System Management Division, in the Traffic and Tunnel Control Center, Operations Technology department.

Your Profile



We are looking for someone with a successful degree (at least a Bachelor's or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or Electrical Engineering with a specialization in transportation, or a similar field. Alternatively, we require a successful completion of another engineering degree (at least a Bachelor's or equivalent) with at least two years of experience in the field of transportation.

You

  • have experience in traffic engineering, particularly in programming central-based control strategies and have a basic understanding of traffic signal control systems,
  • are able to communicate effectively and have strong organizational skills and a confident demeanor,
  • have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work independently and in a structured manner, especially with complex issues,
  • are proficient in Microsoft Office and willing to learn and use specific software products,
  • have a strong understanding of gender and diversity.
