Position Overview

As a Fleet Reefer Technician, you will be responsible for core fleet maintenance tasks primarily focusing on Trailer chassis assets, but also involving other fleet assets. You'll perform and troubleshoot preventative maintenance and repairs, complete work orders efficiently, and contribute to shop projects to maximize asset uptime and productivity while maintaining a strong emphasis on safety.

You will contribute by:
  • Requires knowledge of Heavy Equipment Repair and Refrigeration Repair:
  • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct asset inspection, complete small repairs and post-PM inspections. Perform PM within maintenance and OEM specs. Perform PM on lift gates and related components
  • Work Aptitude &

Technical Abilities:

Participate in skill development with other technicians, engage in training sessions, observe experts, and demonstrate proficiency in technical tasks.

  • Training: Learn technical aspects through tenured technicians, study technical materials, and demonstrate competency
  • Support shop projects to optimize asset uptime and productivity
  • Complete detailed work orders showing Complaint, Cause, and Correction
  • Travel Required: Yes

Environment

  • Warehouse: Grocery Warehouse (50F to 90F)
  • Warehouse: Freezer (20F to 0F)
  • Warehouse: Perishable Warehouse (28F to 60F)

Skills
  • ASE certifications. Understanding of mechanical principles, vehicle maintenance systems, and commercial truck components
  • Proficiency in PM & troubleshooting of liftgate types
  • Reefer Experience, 608 & 60
  • Physical abilities: Involving heavy lifting, 8 hours of continuous activity, and computer work
  • Pride in work quality, attention to detail, and accuracy

Years Of Experience
  • 3-5 years of Mechanical exposure and work experience with Internal Combustion Engines and leadership exposure recommended
