    SALARY: $14.00- $21.18/HR ($2.00/HR shift differential available for certain shifts)

    ADDITIONAL PAY OPPORTUNITIES:

    - Extra $2.00/HR for a shift differential depending on the shift

    - $2.50/HR for every shift until 06/22/2024

    As of Thursday, May 9th, 2024 the following shifts are available for you to join the Transport team. Please note that you will be able to indicate your shift preferences during the phone interview.

    SHIFTS AVAILABLE:
    • Monday through Friday 2:30PM to 11:00PM. Occasional Holidays
    • Wednesday through Saturday 7:00AM to 5:30PM. Occasional Holidays.
    • Monday through Friday 12:30AM to 8:30AM. Occasional Holidays.
    • Saturday through Tuesday 12:30PM to 11:00PM. Occasional Holidays.
    • Tuesday through Saturday 7:00AM to 3:30PM. Occasional Holidays.
    • Monday through Thursday 10:30PM to 9:00AM. Occasional Holidays.
    BASIC FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITY :

    Contribute to the patient well-being by performing a variety of duties that supports nursing care.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    Assist nursing staff /ancillary staff in the transfer of patients from bed to bed, stretcher or wheelchair.
    Educate and train new staff members in the responsibilities of the Care Team Associate role.
    Perform other duties as delegated by nursing staff and unit management as needed in both routine and emergent situations.
    Responsible for accurate and timely entry of information into computerized bed-management system.
    Transport patient via wheelchair, stretcher, or bed to destination. Includes taking patients to tests, transfers and discharges.
    Transfer infusion pumps from pole to wheelchair, stretcher, and bed; Ensure equipment such as wheelchairs, stretchers, beds, infusion pumps, etc. are routinely cleaned and available for use; Retrieve, tag, and deliver broken equipment to repair shop. Deliver equipment back to unit once repaired.
    Supply and exchange medical gases throughout the facility as needed.
    Perform routine cleaning and stocking of medical carts.
    May complete unit/department specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents

    SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

    Supervision is received from Supervisor, Care Team Associate Support

    SUPERVISION EXERCISED:

    No supervision exercised.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. This position is very active and may require ambulating, remaining in a stationary position and positioning self to reach and/or move objects above the shoulders and below the knees. The employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 10 lbs. and occasionally move objects up to 25 lbs. or more.
    This role may also routinely come into contact with patients who may have contagious illnesses. This position is in a health care facility open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Rotating shifts as well as holiday and work during inclement weather will be required.
