Overview:
As a Caregiver PRN, you will play a crucial role in providing compassionate and personalized care to individuals who require assistance with daily activities due to illness, injury, or age-related conditions.
Your responsibilities will involve attending to the physical and emotional needs of clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being at all times.
Key Responsibilities:

Personal Care Assistance:
- Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide support with toileting, including using the restroom and changing undergarments if needed.
- Help with mobility by providing assistance with walking, transferring, and positioning.
Medication Management:
- Remind clients to take prescribed medications according to schedules.
Daily Living Support:
- Prepare and serve meals based on dietary needs and preferences.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including laundry, cleaning, and organizing living spaces.
Companionship and Emotional Support:
- Engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities to promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
- Provide companionship and emotional support, actively listening to clients' concerns and offering reassurance.
Observation and Reporting:
- Monitor clients' health conditions and report any changes or concerns to appropriate healthcare professionals or family members.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and tasks completed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Compassionate and empathetic demeanor.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Physical stamina and strength to assist clients with mobility.
- Patience and understanding in dealing with various client needs and behaviors.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in caregiving, healthcare, or related field preferred.
- Completion of basic first aid and CPR training beneficial.
- Any additional relevant certifications or training is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- May involve working evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Work settings is in private residences.
- Physical demands may include lifting or moving clients and performing repetitive tasks.
