    Performs responsible, specialized duties within a unit of a department. Responsibilities include activities which require knowledge of departmental procedures. Employee performance is based upon a review of completed work and overall results obtained. May supervise clerical employees.

    Major/Essential Functions

    • Responsible for providing and maintaining interior plants for all contracted departments. Assists in the coordination of the annual programs and events. Including the campus plant maintenance program.
    • Responsible for billing, estimating costs for accounts, recommendations of plant materials to utilize, and maintaining greenhouse.
    • Maintains a professional and personal appearance. Performs related work as required.

    Required Qualifications

    High school plus 3 years experience. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Ability to learn practices; materials; tools and machines used for propagating; growing and caring for indoor plants and flowers.
    • Previous nursery or greenhouse experience High school graduate.
