    Description


    The Compliance Coordinator provides systemic and advisory support to the organization on regulations and compliance involving GOM Shelf LLC assets.

    This position is expected to oversee and maintain compliance management systems, act as a focal point of communications between government agencies and GOM Shelf LLC, prepare and execute facility modification permit revisions, simple commingling permit modifications, and prepare and submit variances of alternate compliance.

    This position is located in our Lafayette, Louisiana office with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following:
    Responsible for providing permitting and compliance support, interpreting regulations, working with applicable agencies, and coordinating with management to ensure overall compliance successResponsible for communication with Federal Government agencies: Department of the Interior Bureau of Ocean Energy management (BOEM), Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE), the United States Coast Guard (USCG)


    Primary Compliance application guidance and advisory support to GOM based Facilities, Operational and Technical Service teamsLead and conduct citation investigations as required for Production, Construction and Maintenance incidents of noncompliance and prepare and submit reports, track actions, and INCs to closureDrive continuous field conformance assurance and effective implementation of GOM Shelf compliance management systems and assist HSE coordinators with updating safe work practices and proceduresProvide functional direction and surveillance/oversight to Field Compliance TechsParticipant in GOM Shelf Facility Hazard Analysis (FHA) and Management of Change (MOC) process.

    Performing Hazard Identification (HAZID) and control application assurance assessments for offshore MOC work planning and execution as it pertains to 14C complianceResponsible for reviewing and submitting all FSS permit modifications, minor commingling permitting revisions, measurement variances and/or departures, temporary equipment installation variances, any other variance or alternate compliance requestAssist Regulatory with sustain casing pressure submittals, pipeline submittals, major commingling permit modifications, DOCD update request, etc.

    Review and maintain compliance records and distribute information accordinglyAssist well work engineers and project engineers with obtaining permits and approvals to ensure compliance in all activitiesDay-to-day communication with Regulators Districts and AgenciesTrack, monitor and respond to all production issued citations (INCs)Review new regulations and NTLS, provide clarity and implementation related to production operational complianceParticipate in MOC process, verifying compliance with 14C and 14JAssist SEMS integration activities for new/acquired facilities, gather compliance records, verify casing pressure management, 14C testing, firefighting and lifesaving equipment, etcAttend and participate in departmental, company, and/or field meetings as necessaryDevelopment and delivery of compliance performance reports/presentationsTracking and analysis of compliance performance metrics within database systems for areas of responsibilityMaintaining and updating FSS permits in the Veris Compliance Management System, and the SEMS PortalExpertise and Qualifications:

    • 8 years of experience with upstream oil and gas activities in required areas of expertiseBachelors Degree preferred, in Industrial Technology/Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science or equivalent area of studyCertified Safety Professional (CSP, ASP) or equivalent professional accreditation preferredPossess experience in TIMS Web Portal. (BSEEs Technical Information Management System)
    Knowledgeable and experienced in implementing and assuring effective compliance management systems and processes as used within a U.S. Gulf of Mexico (GOM) upstream oil and gas exploration and production organizationKnowledgeable in Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE), United States Coast Guard (USCG), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulatory requirements applicable to offshore operationsStrong interpersonal skills, adept in developing and sustaining positive and constructive work relationships, driving the delivery of HSE excellenceTrained and competent in performing hazards and risk assessments and incident investigations using industry best practice methodsExcellent technical writing skills, competent in preparation of work practice and procedural documents, reports, and presentations for internal and external publicationProficient in Microsoft application suite software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Power BI)Capable of driving to logistical base and office locations throughout the GOM area and to make routine offshore facility visitsPossess valid license/training/security credentials to travel to offshore locations and able to work offshore as requiredCapable of 24- hour availability to support compliance issue specific to offshore operationsLocation :
