Position Summary:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creates and implements marketbased business plans that align with the overall objectives and goals of the region, Commercial Division, and Camden National Bank.
  • Responsible for guiding credit and pricing efforts for a specified market so that they align with the region and corporate goals and objectives.
  • Identifies and develops prospects for loan and deposit opportunities. Uses systems and tools made available by the bank, as well as other resources to develop prospects.
  • Ensures that precall plans are being utilized to optimize effectiveness of each call. Involves teammates within or outside of the Commercial Division when essential for the best possible customer experience.
  • Works collaboratively with Retail Banking leadership and Camden National Wealth Management personnel to ensure that a "relationship" approach is being taken to meet customer needs.
  • Responsible for the accuracy of their submissions to the Loan Pipeline Report and will update the report accordingly.
  • Manages own efforts toward meeting or exceeding targeted production goals.
  • Personal production goals for the CBMM I will generally include new loan production of $13.5 million or more and new deposit production of $2 million or more. Loan fee income and average growth in loans and deposits will align with the budget for their market. These goals will be set by the CBMM I's manager in collaboration with the Senior Loan Officer of the bank.
  • Coordinates, through attorneys and Commercial Administration Team personnel, the production of all commercial loan documentation for selfgenerated loans.
  • Actively manages, either directly or through the collaborative efforts of others within the Commercial Administration Team, all commercial loan relationships assigned to the CBMM I's team. This includes collection efforts when needed, credit file maintenance, site visits and loss mitigation efforts when applicable.
  • Frequently represents Camden National Bank at various business, community and social functions.
  • Actively involved, at leadership or committee level positions, with nonprofits within the market, region or state.


Basic Qualifications- Bachelor's degree and 3-5 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.- Formal credit analysis training or the experience and educational equivalent.- Must possess a valid driver's license.

  • Possesses and demonstrates good project management skills. Has proven track record of leading or adding significantly to project teams, both within the region, on an organizational level, or even outside the bank on a volunteer basis

Supervisory Skills:

  • The CBMM I will have direct reports that consists of up to two commercial banking officers (CBO) within a market. The CBMM I is responsible to carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training and developing employees; planning assigning and directing work efforts; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • The CBMM I reports directly to the Regional Director of Commercial Banking for the region that their market falls within.
