Description

Are you passionate about helping individuals overcome their struggles with drug and alcohol addiction? We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Drug and Alcohol Counselor to join our team at Valley Forge Medical center As a counselor, you will play a pivotal role in assisting clients on their journey to recovery, providing them with the support and guidance they need to achieve lasting positive change.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the Following:

Complete thorough psychosocial assessments,
Complete other assessments as indicated,
Participate meaningfully in multi-disciplinary treatment team meetings, concisely and clearly presenting patient information and conceptualization,
Complete all required paperwork in agency's EMR meeting all regulatory, UR, and quality assurance standards,
Work collaboratively with all departments and teammates, communicate pertinent patient information to other staff/departments as necessary,
Provide crisis intervention, as needed,
Attend trainings and other meetings as required.

Education:

Bachelor's degree - from an accredited institution with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in the human services) or another related field preferred.

Drug & Alcohol Certification **(AAC, CAAC, CADC, CAADC) as granted by the Pennsylvania Certification Board preferred.

Professional License through the Department of State in a clinical field and/or
credentialing **through PCB preferred.

Shift:

M-F 8am-4:30pm plus every 6th weekend rotation.

Pay:
$54, $60,000.00 per year
