Responsible for supervision of the daily work flow of pharmacy operations and activities to ensure efficient, effective, and accurate levels of operation.
Assures compliance to established policies and procedures, laws, and regulations. Other duties include training, staff scheduling, input for personnel performance assessment, and staff development. Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.Familiarity with California Board of Pharmacy laws and regulations focused on Pharmacist and Pharmacist in Charge responsibilities.
Knowledge of medical terminology, pharmaceutical generic and trade names, pharmaceutical calculations, and laws and regulations relating to the practice of Pharmacy.
Ability to build and establish effective working partnership with employees, peers and/or leaders to achieve business objectives.Leadership skills, including team building, and coaching/mentoring with the ability to motivate and engage others.
Organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple projects while delivering quality service and achieving business results.
Requires a basic working knowledge of legal requirements and accreditation standards including National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP), The Joint Commission (TJC), Title XXII, United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and United States Pharmacopeia (USP).
