The Department of Cardiac and Vascular Surgery comprises four operating rooms, including a hybrid OR. The spectrum of heart surgeries ranges from heart and thoracic aortic procedures, artificial heart implants and heart transplants to mechanical support systems such as Bioventrix operations, Impella implants and TAVI procedures. In addition, vascular surgeries of all kinds are performed in the arterial and venous areas. Our specialization lies in thoracic aortic pathologies, which can be treated with both open and endovascular procedures, as well as carotid surgery.
