Position Overview:


The Director of Operations plays a key role in the success of the Practice and provides leadership for all aspects of Exceptional Wellness Counseling's operations with an emphasis on long-term goals to maximize success and excellence across the organization.

The employee in this key role is responsible for executing on the vision and mission of the overall organization, as well as providing practical oversight of day-to-day operations.

This role partners closely with the Owner/CEO with regard to both organizational and financial strategy. The Director of Operations must develop and maintain a positive and supportive approach towards Practice employees and clients.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Strategy & Growth Planning_
  • Engages actively, using a systems approach, in strategic planning and implementation to support the success of the Practice.
  • Leads in a solutionfocused, collaborative manner with an emphasis on continuous improvement for employees and the organization.
  • Ensures that all organizational activities operate consistently and ethically within the mission and values of the Company.
  • Prepares short and longrange plans based upon organizational goals and objectives.
  • Develops and executes on growth initiatives including acquiring additional office space, remodeling office space, negotiating leases, etc.
  • Develops and executes compensation strategy and plan across the Practice including base pay and incentive pay strategies, bonuses, etc.
  • General Operations Management_
  • Reviews the financial results of all operations, comparing them with the company's objectives and taking appropriate measures to correct unsatisfactory performance and results.
  • Establishes and maintains information on Key Performance Indicators of each service and business location to ensure the embodiment of the organizational values of access to care and clinical quality.
  • Reviews financial performance on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis; analyze and make recommendations to the CEO to promote effective use of financial resources and alignment with budget.
  • Coordinates delivery of highquality clinical services in compliance with licensing requirements and reimbursement standards.
  • Maintains excellent and prompt communication with all departments to ensure coordination of operational activities; promotes exceptional client service and excellent service delivery.
  • Develops marketing and public relations strategy; ensure strategy is implemented; monitor for success and direct program modifications. Delegate program implementation and activities as appropriate.
  • Serves as representative of the Company in conjunction with our outreach specialist by collaborating with others to establish and maintain positive relations with the community.
  • Oversees the billing manager with regards to negotiating contracts including insurance rates with carriers; expands or terminates insurance options in alignment with growth strategy and financial plans; ensures compliance with thirdparty payer requirements.
  • Leadership & Team Development/Management_
  • Promotes communication and cooperation among divisions to create a spirit of unity in the organization.
  • Leads hiring and employment strategy; including the development of new positions.
  • Participates in interviews; make job offers.
  • Identifies areas of improvement within programs and develops solutionfocused plans of action.
  • Develops and leads employee performance review and improvement activities across the organization. Assists supervisors in the implementation of performance review and improvement systems.
  • Leads and manages employee relations initiatives including investigations; facilitates employee separation, including involuntary terminations.
  • Develops and approves operational and employment policies and procedures in accordance with legal requirements, delegate as appropriate.
  • Provides support and guidance to the Practice's leadership team, including providing professional development/training and leading meetings.
  • Contributes to effective teamwork by encouraging staff to work independently, as well as to seek support when needed.
  • Facilitates and attends team meetings and team training.
  • Builds and maintains effective relationships with coworkers; be respectful of, cooperative and collaborative with coworkers.
