The Company is looking for a full-time traveling Field Service Engineer Technician to join the team who is motivated, hardworking, and analytical. The position is responsible for on-site service and repair of equipment ensuring product quality, availability and value aligned with business goals and objectives. An outstanding candidate will love to travel, have a strong mechanical and electrical background and strong customer service skills / vendor management.

Core Job Functions:

• Performs on-site installs, service and repair of machines
• Troubleshoots equipment problems and recommends solutions
• Responds to customer inquiries and phone calls
• Interpret schematics, blueprints, and other technical documents before installing a new piece of equipment. Calibrates different parts of the machine and ensure everything runs smoothly, then test it for accuracy.
• Maintains records, reports and work order logs as required to provide proof of service
• Perform preventative maintenance by regularly inspecting equipment to make sure it conforms to normal operational standards, then take steps to correct any abnormalities.
• Using diagnostic tools to identify issues and evaluating the available information.
• Fixing defective or broken products or ordering the necessary parts to replace faulty or worn parts
• Uphold Safety standards and regulations
• Responds to emergency service calls as required and escalates for quick resolution
• Completes installs and trains internal customer technicians on system operation
• Performs upgrades and modifications to equipment as needed
• Maintains current knowledge on equipment/tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals, and other relevant materials
• Responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and security of company property including vehicles, tools, etc.
• Coordinates activities with peers, supervisor(s), and customers to minimize equipment downtime and interruptions
• Manage special projects as required

Education / Experience:

• Associates degree or technical certification in mechanical, electronics, engineering, or other applicable fields of study; Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology preferred
• Minimum 3 + years experience in maintenance, repair, and installs
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude / ability to use appropriate tools
• Strong working knowledge of equipment and tools used in the industry.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently and diagnose, solve problems based on customers' non-technical descriptions
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings- Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic schematics
• Proficiency with pneumatic, hydraulic components and servo systems
• Prior experience in Automation is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements: Job duties are often performed in confined areas. Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity, and the ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds are required. May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing. May require the use of Personal Protection equipment and proper industry safety procedures when working with one or more dangerous elements or conditions such as chemicals, electric currents or high voltage, moving mechanical parts, radiation, etc.
