    ACCOUNTANT TRAINEE

    $4, $4,992.00 per Month

    Job Description and Duties

    Under the close supervision of the Senior Accounting Officer (Supervisor), the Accountant Trainee will assist, review, and research as needed in the maintenance and reporting of General Fund Accounting and Inmate Accounting activities.

    Employees who are employed at Pelican Bay State Prison for twelve (12) consecutive qualifying pay periods will receive a $2600 per year recruitment and retention bonus.

    Candidates new to CDCR or the Division of Juvenile Justice are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, and Tuberculosis testing prior to appointment followed by department annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter.

    Pursuant to the Public Health Orders and issued by the California Department of Public Health and the directive issued by the Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation (CDCR), all staff assigned to this post/position may be required to show evidence of full vaccination and booster for COVID-19, absent an approved reasonable medical or religious accommodation precluding them from vaccination.
