    and Core Responsibilities:
  • Teaching college-level courses in field
  • Develop syllabi and course materials
  • Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes.
  • Provide excellent teaching experience as well as student advisement, recruitment activities and program/curriculum development.
  • Courses are available online and/or in-person at multiple campuses in Clark County
  • Be available to teach days and evenings if teaching face-to-face courses on campus .

    • Applications will be considered on an as-needed basis determined by course availability. This position will be paid $925.00 per credit hour. Credits will vary by semester.

    Required Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Hawaiian Language Studies, Foreign Languages, Linguistics, Second Language Acquisition, or closely related field from a regionally accredited College or University or a Master's degree plus 18 graduate credit in above-referenced fields of study.
  • Native/near-native fluency in Hawaiian

    • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience teaching Hawaiian Language & Culture courses in higher education using Learning Management Systems (LMS), such as Canvas or Blackboard and multimedia laboratories.
