Aaron Shiver

To whom this may concern,

My name is Aaron Shiver and I am 37 years old in. I have been teaching for a little over 16 years now. I have taught over the course of these years mainly English Language Arts, English as a second language and Robotics & Automation through PLTW AR. Currently, I am a Computer Science instructor and PLTW Automation and Robotics Teacher. Additionally, I have created a path forward over the course of the last 6 years for the current school I work for to compete at the highest levels in VEX EDR Robotics and First Lego League Robotics, which is something I hope to continue where ever I go. 

I started my teaching career in Cha-am, Thailand and later moved to Bangkok, Thailand where I taught for most levels K-10 over a 7 year period at Sarasa Witead Thonburi, Napersik, Speak Eazy and APILS. And was an assistant regional manager for Speak Eazy for a period of about 1 year, before I returned to the state side. During my stay in Thailand I also obtained my IBBA in International Business Administration from Siam University. I came back to the United States in 2011 where I took a short break from teaching but then jumped right back in shortly after my return. I continued with my studies and obtained a second BS in Business Administration from Grand Canyon University and later my M. Ed. in Master of Education k-8 and ED.s K-12 Educational Specialist Degree from the same university.

I have been married for 16 years to my lovely wife Mrs. Shiver who is also a long time educator and we have two children. My daughter Linlada and my son Shinna. 

Finally, I am semi fluent in Thai and a little Japanese and German and love to travel overseas whenever time and finances permit me to do so. On a final note, I strongly believe in the idea of adaptability and greatness from small beginnings, which is why I am always looking to challenge myself in new area and create new possibilities.
