    Summary Statement:
The Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for performing a variety of shipping and receiving tasks under general supervision.

The shipping and receiving clerk will verify the order to match the received materials and prepare the items for proper shipment.


Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Examine incoming shipments for damage or shortages and work with vendors. carriers, and coworkers to rectify.
  • Verify items to the Purchase Order by vendor, identifying product unit of measure (each, pair, etc.).
  • Record items into an electronic recording system.
  • Distribute items to the proper department.
  • Put away items into their proper locations.
  • Locate correct product according to product name and manufacturer part number listed.
  • Package product ensuring damage free delivery while keeping packaging supply costs at a minimum and adhering to parcel service guidelines and requirements.
  • Enter shipping addresses and classes.
  • Monitor packaging supply levels and alert to reorder as needed.
  • Place and receive phone calls to resolve customer service issues.
  • Interact with departmental coworkers in a fastpaced team atmosphere.
  • Maintains clean, stocked and organized work area.
  • Performs other duties as requested.

Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Computer/Internet experience.
  • 1+ years of shipping and receiving/warehouse experience preferred.
