    JOB SUMMARY

    Calero, the leading technology expense management solution for complex enterprises, is looking for an Associate Software Engineer, in the US, to join one of our high performing agile teams in. The successful candidate will get the opportunity to work on innovative, highly visible and business critical software that gets used every day within the world's largest financial institutions and multi-national organizations.

    The role involves working on a cross-functional agile team, with a focus on quality through all stages of development. You will need to be a good communicator who works well within a team environment. You will work with a product owner and other team members to help develop, test and support products.

    You should have a foundation in software engineering principles and paradigms and be passionate about new technologies. This is an opportunity to work with a large range of different technologies and we encourage people to actively develop their skills in areas they are not familiar with.

    PRIMARY STACK

    • React (front end)
    • C# .NET (back end)
    • MS SQL (database layer)

    DESIRABLE SKILLS

    • TypeScript/JavaScript
    • HTML, CSS, Web components
    • Modern testing frameworks such as React Testing Library, Jest, Playwright, or Cypress
    • ASP .NET
    • MicroServices
    • Azure
    • Agile Frameworks such as Scrum and continuous Process Improvement

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
    • 1+ years experience in a previous software engineering role (or)
    • Someone who can evidence their passion and self-development via their own projects or open-source project contribution.

    The salary range for this role is $70,000 to $80,000. It is important to Calero that potential candidates for this position understand that compensation depends on numerous factors including the geographic location where the role will be performed, skills required, experience, complexity, travel, and market rate. Calero aims to reward performance and attract top talent with competitive, fair pay and benefits. Please note that the top of the salary range represents exceptional, and/or senior-level positions, that meet all required qualifications. Actual offers take candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience into account. Base Pay is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
