Purpose of Role


The Manager of Automation, Instrumentation & Control (AIC) will lead and oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of automation systems, instrumentation, and control solutions for our dynamic and growing organization.

As the Manager of AIC, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and troubleshooting the automated systems, optimizing efficiency, and ensuring consistent delivery of accurate and reliable results.


Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
Create and implement strategic plans for automation, instrumentation, and controls aligned with organizational objectives.

  • Analyze multiple data sources and use this information to create viable strategic plans
  • Create strategic dashboards and reporting for performance monitoring and tracking
  • Manage and oversee strategic relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Develop strategy into operational plansLead the design and implementation of automation and control solutions for new and existing processes, equipment, and production lines.
  • Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders for successful project execution.
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs for automation systems and control equipment
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to define project scopes, ensuring seamless integration with production processes.
  • Develop quality control procedures for automated instruments in collaboration with the metrology team.
  • Continuous Improvement and Compliance:
  • Identify opportunities for automation enhancements and continuous improvement, driving innovation within the organization.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols in all automation and control initiatives.
Who You Are

Technical

  • Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience managing and supporting automated instrument and control systems, showcasing expertise in electronics, mechanics, and software systems to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues effectively.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities, coupled with a meticulous attention to detail, enabling the identification of optimization opportunities within measurement processes and automated systems.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills and project management capabilities to oversee multiple tasks concurrently, ensuring the successful design, implementation, and maintenance of automation and control solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Automation, Physics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (8+ years) in automation, instrumentation, and controls, with a track record of successfully managing complex projects and teams

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills that promote idea exchange and problemsolving.
  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively and building strong working relationships across cross functional teams.
  • Collaborate with a diverse team of engineers, scientists, technicians, and gemologists to foster innovation and teamwork.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, motivating and developing highperforming teams while driving innovation within the organization through continuous improvement and automation enhancements.

  • Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and work with limited resources
  • Superior attention to detail
  • Proven ability in strategic problem framing, issue identification, and the development of solutions.
  • Remains updated on industry trends and advancements to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of technology.

Pay Range:
$135-$185K
