Position Title:
Archival/Records Clerk (#01-24-USCA3LIB)


Location:
Library of the U.S. Courts, Philadelphia, PA


Salary Range:
CL 23 (Expected starting salary is $20.74 per hour)


Position Type:
Part Time ( 20 hours per week; Monday-Friday)

Position Overview:
The Libraries of the U.S.

Courts for the Third Circuit include a headquarters library (Philadelphia) and eight branch libraries located in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and the U.S.

Virgin Islands. This position in located in the Philadelphia, PA Library.


Representative Duties:


  • Prepare and organize paper records for digitization, including removing staples, paper clips and other binding materials.
  • Processing historical library records into databases such as Content DM and Archives Space
  • Using equipment including a book scanner, flatbed scanner and software to crop and edit scanned images
  • May also perform associated dataentry tasks, image management and backup pertaining to the Third Circuit ARchives.
  • Other duties as necessary or assigned

Requirements:


  • Two years experience in a clerical or administrative environment
  • Two years Higher Education
  • Experience with file management
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle moderate to heavy physical activity
