**HR and Office Support Specialist**
at Markforged Billerica, Massachusetts, United States As the Office Support Specialist, your role is to create and maintain a pleasant work environment, ensuring high levels of organizational effectiveness, communication, and safety. You will have responsibility for supervising efforts of cleaners, vendors, and contractors servicing the manufacturing operation in Billerica. We are a growing team and you will support coordinating candidate interviews, welcoming them to our space, and onboarding activities.
We are looking for people who want to get to know all members of the team and explore how to make their working experience more efficient and productive. Markforged now has 3 offices in the Greater Boston area and you will help support planning inter-office relations, activities, meetings, and events.
**In this role you will:**
Acts as HRs main point of contact for the Billerica location and serve to inform on the sites day to day activities involving employees, managers, vendors, others
Manages the day-to-day office operations for the site (including maintenance of common areas, inventory of supplies, food orders, greet guests and visitors virtually/live/audio, guard access to building and office key cards, maintaining office equipment, manage onsite cleaners/vendors, resolving other building maintenance issues as they arise)
Oversee the event management and meeting activities for the site, including logistics, set up, working with management and vendors, and resolving issues as they arise
Run biweekly Culture Forge (social committee) meetings to coordinate office events
Provides administrative assistance to manufacturing leadership through managing schedules and meeting logistics, supporting EHS activities, collecting information and helping with reports/presentations, provide support with other assignments as needed
Initiates onboarding process for new contractors across the company including sending out day 1 instructions and working with TechOps to ensure any equipment is provided for day 1.
Facilitates onboarding/offboarding activities (including setting up and conducting new hire orientation meetings, verifying I9 forms and other employment requirements, coordinating with other function areas on resources, schedules)
Set up new hourly employees in timesheet system
Assists with legal filings and other regulatory requirements
Provides tactical support for other areas across the HR team (e.g. benefits education,/communication, compensation project work, conducting trainings, data entry or auditing) purchase orders
Assist with Engineering & Manufacturing credit card purchases and Purchase Orders

**What we look for:**
Associate degree with 2+ years of experience or 5+ years of direct experience; degree in HR, operations, or other related areas preferred
Excited and motivated to solve problems
Be a critical thinker and be ordered and collected when making decisions
Can handle confidential information
Experience in a manufacturing facility is a plus
Able to work with tight deadlines and handle multiple tasks/assignments simultaneously
Strong communication skills
Adept with technology such as G-Suite programs and social platforms
