Purchasing Supervisor
Responsibilities:
- Ensure suppliers deliver on time.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers to improve ontime delivery and support company growth.
- Identify costeffective sourcing options and collaborate with the Supply Chain team to implement them.
- Coordinate procurement activities to meet production schedules.
- Optimize order policies and lot sizes to reduce working capital.
- Maintain accurate data in our systems.
- Track key metrics such as shortage lists, purchase order compliance, and supplier performance.
- Include relevant content in negotiated agreements based on product families and company strategy.
- Develop new supplier relationships and strengthen existing ones.
- Align lowcost sourcing efforts with company expectations.
- Mentor and develop team members for improved performance.
- Perform additional duties as assigned or as needed due to changes.
Required Skills/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or similar field is preferred
- 13 years of relevant experience
- Excellent computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office (ie Excel, Word, Outlook, etc)
- Strong and professional communication skills both verbal and written
- Accurate data entry skills
- Demonstrates effective time management skills and is well organized
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Experience in Lean Manufacturing
- Experience in the automotive industry
