Purchasing Supervisor

Responsibilities:


  • Ensure suppliers deliver on time.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers to improve ontime delivery and support company growth.
  • Identify costeffective sourcing options and collaborate with the Supply Chain team to implement them.
  • Coordinate procurement activities to meet production schedules.
  • Optimize order policies and lot sizes to reduce working capital.
  • Maintain accurate data in our systems.
  • Track key metrics such as shortage lists, purchase order compliance, and supplier performance.
  • Include relevant content in negotiated agreements based on product families and company strategy.
  • Develop new supplier relationships and strengthen existing ones.
  • Align lowcost sourcing efforts with company expectations.
  • Mentor and develop team members for improved performance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned or as needed due to changes.

Required Skills/Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or similar field is preferred
  • 13 years of relevant experience
  • Excellent computer skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office (ie Excel, Word, Outlook, etc)
  • Strong and professional communication skills both verbal and written
  • Accurate data entry skills
  • Demonstrates effective time management skills and is well organized

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing
  • Experience in the automotive industry
