General Information:


Student Assistant of Housing for the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life, overseeing Greek Row on campus and supporting sorority House Managers.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Function as a member of the Fraternity and Sorority Life staff by participating in weekly or biweekly staff meetings, weekly office hours (10/week) and FSL office coverage, training workshops and other Fraternity and Sorority life events as needed.
  • Serve as a resource and advocate to the executive officers of the Fraternity and Sorority Life community.
  • Assist in the implementation of House Manager training and move in on the Row
  • Facilitate House Manager communications.
  • Serve as a liaison to the Office of Residence Life and meet with staff several times/semester.
  • Schedule meetings between HMs and ORL, conduct and document bi weekly walkthroughs and 2/semester fire drills in all sorority row housing.
  • Address building operation issues and behavioral issues as needed in collaboration with HM and FSL staff.
  • Assist HMs in the opening and closing processes for sorority row housing for breaks and school openings and closings.
  • Collaborate with ORL and FSL assist with HM interviews.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

James Madison University student.


Conditions of Employment:


Students must be degree-seeking students, enrolled on at least a half-time basis (6 credits for undergraduate and 5 credits for graduate).

Students must have a 2.0 or better cumulative GPA.
