Full-time Tax and Accounting Manager wanted immediately for central Omaha CPA firm. This individual should be proficient in individual and business taxation, QuickBooks, and accounting services.

As a manager, the individual will manage a variety of clients and will have the opportunity to manage a wide range of accounting and tax projects successfully.

This individual will work closely with partners to organize and train interns and staff accountants.

As a manager, you will be responsible for the review of individual, and business tax returns and other special projects.

Managers will be accountable for Attest Services preparation and review. Excellent compensation, work-life balance, and benefits.

Position Responsibilities:
Excellent skills in individual and business taxation
Preparation of Individual Federal and State tax returns. Review of individual Federal and State tax returns prepared by staff
Preparation of business Federal and State tax returns. Review of business tax returns prepared by staff
Preparation of partnership Federal and State tax returns. Review of partnership tax returns prepared by staff
Preparation of research on basic tax issues
Preparation of Federal and State payroll tax returns. Review of Federal and State payroll tax returns prepared by staff
Preparation and review of personal property tax returns
Implementation of QuickBooks and basic accounting service functions
QuickBooks ProAdvisor Certification will be trained at this level
Preparation of depreciation schedules and knowledge
Ability to participate in the preparation of Attest Services. Review of financial statements and reports prepared by staff

Position Qualifications:
Must have a bachelor's degree in accounting or similar business degree
Should have 4 years of public accounting experience with a CPA license or preparing to sit for the exam
Must have excellent computer skills with proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and QuickBooks
Must have strong oral and written communication skills
Must be detail-oriented and have strong organizational skills
Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with project deadlines, and be able to multi-task
Knowledge of CCH ProSystem Fx Tax is preferred
Must be willing to work additional hours between January - April and on an as-needed basis due to other project deadlines
Excellent Knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, Prosytem Fx Tax and Engagement, and QuickBooks are preferred.
