    Summary

    This opening pertains to an analyst role in the Financial Management Unit of the Division of Medicaid & Medical Assistance. Responsibilities encompass tracking and documenting expenses for monthly state Medicaid and quarterly federal reports, conducting research to grasp expenditure and enrollment patterns, providing recommendations for forecasts and budgets, reconciling data for intergovernmental funding agreements, and establishing operational protocols to fortify internal controls.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Formulate and execute financial policies and procedures.
    • Contribute to the creation and upkeep of agency operating budgets.
    • Monitor program spending for federal compliance, project budget demands and federal reimbursements.
    • Implement revenue retrieval mechanisms.
    • Lead intricate financial studies to offer advisory services.
    • Collaborate on reviewing proposals and legislative impacts.
    • Engage with stakeholders to evaluate and enhance data processes.
    • Interpret relevant legislation and regulations to foresee operational impacts.
    • Supervise subordinate staff as necessary.

    Qualifications

    REQUIREMENTS for Fiscal Management Analyst
    Applicants should possess education, training, or experience demonstrating proficiency in the following fields:

    • Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Business Management, Computer Information Systems, or a related discipline.
    • 6 months experience in financial management encompassing comprehensive program analysis, budgeting, and internal control setup.
    • 3 years experience in fiscal research planning and execution.
    • 6 months experience in budget formulation, financial analysis, and planning.
    • 3 years experience in interpreting laws, regulations, and policies.
    • 6 months experience in report crafting.
