Your tasks:
The research group 1.72 "Applied Acoustics" deals, among other things, with research and development on the measurement of building acoustic parameters and sound power level. Within the framework of a project funded by the Federal Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (BAuA), a new measurement method for sound power level is to be developed. Your tasks include:
- Analytical and numerical parameter studies on model radiators regarding sound pressure scanning for sound power determination
- Detailed investigations on near-field effects for different source configurations
- Experimental verification of findings on model machines
- Determination of measurement uncertainties, among others through comparison measurements with BAuA
- Presentation and publication of scientific results
Your profile:
- Completed university degree (Master/Diploma) in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics or comparable
- Knowledge in technical acoustics and acoustic measurement technology is advantageous
- Professional competence and physical ability to independently conduct experiments
- Independent, structured and goal-oriented scientific work
- Strong team and communication skills
- English skills (B2 level), German skills are advantageous
- Willingness to travel for business within Germany and abroad
