Maintenance and Operations/Seasonal Maintenance Position

All MBC Park Locations

$16.00/hour; Seasonal Position starts May 1 and ends September 15

Work hours vary, up to 40 hours per week

Minimum Requirements
Must be at least 16 years old.
Valid driver's license and dependable daily transportation.

Capable of climbing stairs, ladders, etc., carrying reasonable loads (up to 50 lbs), operating gas-powered equipment, and other manual tasks as well as ability to follow detailed oral and written instructions as required to maintain buildings in first-class condition.

Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with mínimal supervision and with or without reasonable accommodations.


Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience in groundskeeping, physical labor, construction, farm work, cleaning, painting, and general maintenance.

Ability to work as part of a team, follow directions and positively respond to feedback from manager

Able perform data entry tasks and use Microsoft Office tools.
Ability to read and follow technical directions.
Microsoft office tools


Role Responsibilities
Care for park grounds (lawns, beds, trails, playgrounds, etc.)

Work independently and as part of a team to complete tasks.
Move materials, load and unload trucks (items up to 50 lbs).
Perform general clean-up work inside and outdoors using hand and machine tools.
Perform general tasks including digging, trimming, raking, mulching, weeding, trash pick-up, etc.

Operate a motor vehicle, tractor, power mower, or related mechanical equipment.

Assist maintenance and operations staff in the performance of their duties (work with painters, plumbers, carpenters, and custodians).

Paint interior and exterior surfaces.
Demonstrate courteous and professional demeanor to all park patrons and public you encounter during your shift.
Other duties as assigned.

Ability to move, raise, lower, and carry objects up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
Must be able to operate powered equipment.
Must be able to bend, crouch, stoop, reach, walk stairs, climb, and shovel.
