The St. James is seeking a
Manger for its Child Watch Center at its Springfield, VA location. The St. James is the premier sports, wellness and active entertainment destination in the country, with 450,000 sq. ft.

of developmental and competitive programs, teams and opportunities in more than 30 sports, and a wide range of premium fitness, wellness and entertainment experiences.


Reporting to the
Director of Entertainment, the Manager of the Child Watch Center will manage the day-to-day operations of the Child Watch Center.

You will help manage and lead a group of team members who are responsible for providing a fun, entertaining, engaging, educational and safe environment for children.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide a safe, clean and organized Child Watch area
  • Evaluate team member performance
  • Adhere and enforce Child Watch discipline procedures, check in rules and regulations
  • Maintain inventory supply list and know where and how to use all supplies
  • Records Management
  • Ability to work closely with Management
  • Ability to articulate extensive knowledge of The St James products and services in order to upsell additional offerings at The St. James
  • Carry out team building concepts and learning techniques
  • Develop and maintain relationships with members and their children
  • Quickly and efficiently respond to member questions
  • Supporting the safety of all members, guests and employees

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Great customer service and communication skills
  • Reliable, professional, energetic, and friendly
  • Familiarity with age ranges in children and know proper risk management
  • Knowledge of the developmental stages in children as they get older
  • Need to be creative and able to deliver programs for different age groups
  • Ability to multi task and think critically
  • Interested in health, fitness, and/or sports
  • 35 years' experience in child care
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • CPR/First Aid certifications for all ages
  • Knowledgeable of safety training, procedures and best practices in child care
  • Time management skills
  • Selfdirected and detail oriented
  • Motivation, maturity, humility, strong work ethic, sense of humor, and a "rollupmysleeves" attitude
  • Knowledgeable of safety training, procedures and best practices used throughout the sports and wellness industry.
