- Responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on facility/production equipment and property structures, in addition to performing grounds maintenance. All work will be done in compliance with EPA, OSHA, and other safety rules and regulations.
- Install and troubleshoot electrical motors, motor controls, up to 480V systems, compressors
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Read and understand electrical and other mechanical diagrams.
- Run conduit and troubleshoot network cable (CAT 5).
- Operate aerial lifts (scissor lift, boom lift).
- Perform minor building, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and painting repairs as necessary.
- Log and track inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
- Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
- Diagnose production equipment problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.).
- Upon completion of work, enters appropriate information onto worksheet for submission and filing and/or enters into MRP system for filing and tracking.
- Inspect and repair equipment and facilities as needed (plumbing and HVAC skills a plus).
- Coaches and trains production personnel as able on maintenance related topics.
- Assures the safety of facility employees through compliance with all state and federal OSHA and EPA laws and regulations.
