Inova Fairfax Hospital is seeking a Program Specialist to join the Breast Care team This role is full-time working varied shift and schedules as needed by the department.


Requirements for consideration:


  • Two years of clinical office/hospital experience. Report generation experience with typing skills of 30 WPM. High School Diploma or GED

Job Responsibilities included but not limited to:

  • Enrolls participants in various community, team member, or physician classes and special facility programs.
  • Provides physician referrals and general information to the community, team members, and physicians.
  • Schedules and registers patients for systemwide clinical appointments in a variety of software programs.
  • Maintains integrity of files, and adds new classes, physicians, and physician codes.
  • Updates information on physician profiles, classes, and/or clinical information.
  • Runs daily reports, corrects errors daily, and runs quarterly reports.
  • Confirms refunds, transfers, and charges for accountants.
  • Ensures followup information to callers and physicians is available and completed daily.
  • Responds promptly to inquiries and complaints from internal clients, the general public, and physicians.
  • Works with Program Managers, Registration, and other internal clients to ensure timely and correct information is available to the Marketing representatives.
  • Works with Marketing Consultants as needed to offer fulfillment services to meet service line needs.
  • Answers program questions for Marketing representatives.
  • Assists with training within the department.
  • Coordinates telephone and clerical work assignments for Marketing representatives with other program specialists.
  • May perform additional duties as assigned.
