- Overseeing all OSHA and environmental reporting obligations.
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in health and safety performance.
- Managing internal audit and inspection processes related to health and safety.
- Providing training on safety and environmental programs for staff.
- Assessing health and safety aspects of new equipment introductions.
- Implementing and maintaining facility environmental programs for compliance.
- Conducting regular evaluations to ensure adherence to environmental standards.
- Leading the development and implementation of EHS programs to enhance safety and regulatory compliance.
- Coordinating safety meetings, trainings, and orientations.
- Reviewing and approving new chemical product SDS for plant use.
- Working towards continual safety, health, and environmental improvement.
- Leading loss prevention and emergency management programs.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to promote a positive safety culture.
- Handling investigations and responses to alleged OSHA violations.
- Calculating safety metrics to monitor performance.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Certification as an Environmental or Health and Safety professional.
- Minimum of five years' experience in a similar role.
- Thorough knowledge of OSHA, federal, state, and local safety regulations.
- Previous experience with EHS programs and regulatory compliance.
- Familiarity with various environmental regulations and vetting services.
- Competence in fire prevention, chemical spill response, and respiratory protection.
- Ability to conduct accident and injury investigations.
- Proficiency in MS Office and strong project management skills.
- Availability to work flexible hours and weekends when necessary.
- Capable of performing job functions both independently and in a team.
