The Clios are seeking a resourceful, organized and highly motivated Coordinator to assist the Executive Director of Communications with media relations, event production and thought leadership planning.

As the Communications Coordinator at The Clios, you will be responsible for:

MEDIA RELATIONS

  • Build media lists, draft pitches and liaise with trade press around tent pole announcements
  • Develop evergreen and timely pitch angles for general print, online and broadcast outlets
  • Build and maintain relationships with communications professionals at Clio Awards entrant companies
  • Compile clips; create and disseminate reports to internal stakeholders
  • Update the Clios press room with our latest news
EVENTS/PROGRAMMING

  • Assist with planning, coordinating and executing logistics for thought leadership summits and awards ceremonies.
  • This will include:
  • Researching, identifying and drafting outreach to potential panelists and honorees
  • Compiling and organizing internal and external event assets (face sheets, bios, headshots, shot lists, presentations, etc)
  • Assisting in securing press for red carpets, liaising with photographers and other vendors, helping to manage talent on site and more

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, or related field
  • 12 years of work experience in communications, media relations and/or events
  • Exceptional written and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Google Suite, Microsoft Office, Squarespace and Muck Rack or comparable PR service
  • Experience writing and disseminating press releases, pitches, media alerts and other PR materials
  • Experience managing event logistics, working red carpets and handling talent onsite
  • Proactive, organized and detailoriented work ethic
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, maintain deadlines and work across multiple projects at once
  • Existing relationships with broadcast, advertising and entertainment trade press
  • General knowledge and interest in popular culture, advertising and marketing

Pay:
$50, $60,000.00 per year
