ABOUT THE JOB

This opportunity is a full-time and benefits-eligible position.

HOURS

Monday – Friday 6:00am – 3:30pm

Overtime and Weekend required based on business needs

MATERIAL HANDLER

REPORTS TO: Supervisor

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TASKS:

Lift, stack and un-stack products and materials.
Move raw materials and finished goods to processing or dispatch areas of facility.
Make sure goods are stored in the correct area of the plant and/or warehouse so they may be located easily.
Load and unload transport vehicles, making sure loads are evenly and securely placed, per bill of lading.
Make minor adjustments to the forklift.
Complete daily Pre-Op Inspection Sheet. Pull product and stage orders.
Follow all guidelines as set forth in the forklift driver's manual and policy.
Work both indoors and outdoors.
Work safe and report all unsafe working conditions and/or unsafe acts to supervisor immediately.
All other duties as required.

Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS:

Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience with telehandler forklift in a construction environment.
Ability to warehouse machinery safely and efficiently, including forklifts;
Physically capable of performing the essential duties of the job and lifting up to 75lbs;
Ability to understand written and oral job instructions; Ability to follow all safety standards and policies;
Ability to multitask and assist production team when required.
All types of physical movement required for this position to successfully perform the essential functions.
Ability to use upper and lower extremities.
Ability to work outside in heat, inclement weather, and cold.
Ability to crawl, kneel, crouch, climb, and bend around and under equipment, on ladders, stairs, scaffolds, through small accesses, enter inside of tanks, and confined spaces, through hatches, and manholes throughout much of the work shift.
Welding experience a plus.
