Description
We are seeking a motivated individual who works well with others in a team-first environment. Proficiency in Spanish is strongly preferred.Some of the duties may include:
- Provides support for the providers in obtaining pre-authorization for procedures, medication approval, and relaying patient messages to providers.
- Reviews and responds to patient messages and serves as communication liaison for providers and patients.
- Provide front office support as needed for efficient patient flow.
- Assembles supplies and equipment for scheduled procedures according to physicians' preference cards
- Follows principles of aseptic technique and prescribed procedure room procedures
- Assists Physician with all procedures, including patient positioning and required set-up.
- Aids in explaining the procedure to patients and assists in psychologically preparing patients for procedures, communicating effectively with patients and families as well as physicians and peers.
- Handles any specimens obtained from patient, properly labeling, packaging, and preparing for shipment.
- Ensures that all instruments and supplies are available as needed during procedures.
- Works well within a team environment
- Washes and decontaminates all probes and accessories and verifies that all essential equipment is functioning properly each day.
- Dons proper protective attire (gloves, gown, masks, radiation aprons) during procedures or while processing probes, accessories, and instruments
- Assists in all rescue and/or resuscitative efforts as deemed necessary by attending physician.
- Maintains processors, RFA generators, equipment, and autoclaves, performing daily checks and cultures and documenting in the appropriate records; monitors cleaning solution daily for potency, and records results appropriately.
- Cleans and restocks procedure rooms and processing areas, ensuring that all equipment is stored properly.
- Maintains inventory of supplies, assisting in the receipt of incoming supplies.
- Recognizes and utilizes safety precautions and procedures.
- Assists with the transport and discharge of patients.
- Performs other duties as requested or assigned.
- Participates in the QAPI and Safety Program
- Engages in various clerical and recordkeeping duties as needed.
- Demonstrated knowledge of potential exposure to hazardous materials (i.e. patient body fluids, disinfectant chemicals) and location of SDS sheets.
- Provides proper analysis of insurance coverage for upcoming services including, but may not be limited to, active coverage, covered services, patient/primary guarantor liability, and pre-authorization or pre-notification. Maintain records of verification completed.
- Provides support for the physicians by communicating with insurance providers, pharmacies, and third-party vendors on care related matters for continuing patient treatments.
- Operates specialized imaging equipment such as c-arms and performs X-ray or ultrasound guided cases.
Pay:
$ $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
