Bookkeeper - Job Summary

On a daily basis, this position will record all financial transactions, including ACH and wire payments, into the correct general ledger and verify that they are accurate.

This position will also be responsible for managing accounts receivable and accounts payable, and generating regular reports for upper management and will be responsible for overseeing and reconciling financial transactions through various software programs.

Bookkeeper Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review financial transactions in an accurate, complete, and uptodate manner and input into accounting system
  • Perform all activities related to billing and invoicing including, managing accounts payable: reviewing, coding, and processing payments including payment to vendors and managing accounts receivable: invoicing, deposits, collections, and revenue recognition
  • Conduct reconciliation of all accounts on an as needed basis
  • Prepare financial reports through collection, analysis, and summarization of data
  • Maintain an accurate record of financial transactions
  • Develops system of defining bookkeeping policies and procedures
  • Willing to be part of a team, works well with others
  • Working with and in a fastpaced office setting
  • Customer interaction, strong customer service skills
  • Payroll and payroll functions, confirming all deductions are true and correct on a monthly basis
  • Other duties as required

Bookkeeper Requirements and Qualifications

  • 3+ years of bookkeeping experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office including Excel and QuickBooks
  • Knowledge of payroll and bookkeeping principles
  • Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail and able to produce work with a high level of accuracy
  • Professionalism and organization skills
  • Integrity, thoroughness, and a great attitude are desired
  • Strong organizational, attention to detail and time management skills
  • Ability to multitask & selfmotivate to ensure completion of tasks
  • Ability to identify, troubleshoot and adapt to system or procedural changes as they arise
