Description

Collins Companies, Pallette Stone Corporation is seeking a Precast Concrete Estimator at our Saratoga Springs, NY facility.

**Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:**
+ Review plans and recognize potential precast bid opportunities
+ Prepare accurate quotations and shop drawings based on project specific plans and specifications
+ Utilize inventory / invoicing software to ensure accurate and timely billing
+ Gain full understanding of NYSDOT and National Precast Concrete Association (NPCA) standards for precast concrete
+ Gain full understanding of precast Quality Control/Quality Assurance (QC/QA) program
**Essential Functions**
+ Ability to work at a computer for extended periods
+ Ability to work outside of scheduled hours to meet demands of position
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Basic knowledge of concrete and various aspects of construction
+ Strong mathematics skills with the ability to calculate, analyze data and compute rates, ratios and percentages
+ Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work
+ Strong ability to plan, organize and work independently to meet expected deadlines
+ Strong ability to read and understand project plans and specifications
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
+ Proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel
+ Must have a valid drivers license or reliable transportation to report to work on timewith record acceptable to the company's insurers
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience with telephone-based customer service
+ Experience with Excel spread sheets
+ Experience in construction estimating/sales
**Compensation:**
Competitive wage commensurate with experience. Excellent benefit package including company paid health, dental and vision insurance with a company-funded retirement plan.
Base salary range:
Precast Concrete Estimator
$30,400-$78,750
Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as related work experience, market conditions, education/training, certifications and other credentials, overtime when applicable, as well as applicable knowledge and skills.
