Educational Requirements:

As described in section a) (7) of the Act, a program must ensure staff who work directly with families on the family partnership process hired after November 7th, 2016 have within eighteen (18) months of hire, at a minimum, a credential or certification in social work, human services, family services, counseling or a related field.


Other Requirements:


  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance
  • Not essential but may be required as needed; sufficient strength and flexibility (ability to stoop, bend, twist, etc.)
  • Preferred, but not required, to be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Must pass a general physical examination, uptodate MMR and Tdap vaccinations and TB screening at the time of hire
  • Employment in this position is contingent on cleared criminal background check, clear background check as per the _Department of Children & Family Services Licensing Standards _and Policy Council approval

Accountabilities:
Ensuring safe, supportive, intentional and engaging environments for children birth to five. Ensuring that environments and experiences provide natural and developmentally appropriate skill development opportunities to children with various skill levels. Ensure that equitable practices are in place to reduce achievement gaps. Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development resulting in improved teaching and learning.


Essential Duties:

To create strong family and community partnerships built on trust, respect, and acceptance that support: strength-based goals and progression through adversity, strengthening the individual, family, and community reducing racial, ethnic and linguistic disparities.


  • Responsible for completion of the Family Partnership Agreement, EHS/HS Transition School Readiness Plan process, and Parent Gauge inclusive of the data supporting family growth and program improvement
  • Responsible for building and maintaining exceptional relationship with children, families and staff
  • Responsible for ensuring fidelity of the parenting curriculums (Conscious Discipline and Systematic Effective Parenting)
  • Responsible for collaborating with community agencies, organizations, and school districts (PC/Parent Committees, Parent Ambassador, volunteers, screenings)
  • Responsible for maintaining uptodate documentation of supportive services and referrals
  • Directly responsible for collecting, reviewing, approving and advancing Non-Federal Funds
  • Responsible for recruiting eligible children for enrollment into the Head Start and Early Head Start programs and maintaining consistent attendance
  • Identify and guide continuous quality improvement

Pay:
$ $21.74 per hour
