Aegis Worldwide is currently seeking a

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

for a leading industrial equipment manufacturer in Franklin Park, IL. You'll play a vital role in the design, re-design of capital equipment, and aftermarket components. Also, creating the BOMs, blueprints, calculations, and evaluating/troubleshooting the systems.

Shift

1st (8:30am to 5:00pm)

Pay Range

- $100k to $120k
Direct Hire

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related degree.
5+ years of experience as a mechanical or design engineer.
Hydraulic/Fluid Handling/Water Systems experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience on the electrical side of Engineering.
Experience designing machines, components, or parts.
Experience with 3D Cad Software, preferably SolidWorks, or Creo.

Nice to Have:
Experience working at a Machine Builder or OEM.
Experience troubleshooting/commissioning of electrical equipment, or PLCs.
Experience with PLCs, switches, relays, automation, or anything electrical.

Responsibilities:

Assisting in the evaluation, design, and re-design of capital equipment and applicable after-market components through analysis of current application parameters.

Creating bills of materials for newly designed products.
Creating electrical/mechanical drawings.
Devising test procedures for completed equipment to confirm operation and metrics meet design requirements.
Problem solving, design work, data analysis, and project management in the pursuit of the team goals.
Mechanical design work, drawings, and calculations, for the execution of capital project investments.
