    Description

    Job Title: Mental Health Practitioner

    Company: Confidential

    • Must qualify as a **Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts** (LPHA) in accordance with Napa County Mental Health Plan regulations
    • A Master's degree in **Social Work**, **Psychology**, or **Counseling**

    As a Mental Health Practitioner, you will be responsible for:

    • Providing comprehensive, strength-based, culturally competent, flexible, effective, quality mental health services to eligible at-risk children, youth, and families
    • Offering services to children and youth involved in the child welfare and Juvenile Justice systems, meeting all County requirements
    • Delivering services to assigned children, youth, and families in various settings like home, office, school, or community-based locations
    • Arranging safe transportation for youth and families to services as necessary
    • Possessing cultural competence to work with diverse populations and communities
    • Ensuring accurate and up-to-date clinical records and meeting submission timelines
    • Providing and documenting all Medi-Cal eligible services
    • Documenting all billable and non-billable services provided in a timely manner
    • Offering referrals and resources to children, adults, and families while acting as a liaison between parties
    • Creating individualized safety plans for assigned families utilizing natural supports and community resources
    • Attending internal psychiatric appointments with assigned youth and caregivers
    • Collaborating with internal programs, departments, and staff as required
    • Participating in clinical supervision and meetings according to requirements
    • Performing all duties in line with the agency's principles and values
    • Working collaboratively with all agency programs and staff to provide necessary support
    • Using Microsoft Outlook calendar effectively to manage time and share details with coworkers
    • Participating in on-going training to enhance professional skills

    Requirements:

    • Masters or better in Social Work or related field
    • Computer skills
    • Ability to use a laptop computer
    • Inspired to perform independently
    • Motivated by the freedom to set personal schedule and goals
