Job Summary:
Make jigs, fixtures, dies, molds, machine tools, cutting tools, gauges, and other tools used in manufacturing processes

Essential Functions:

Effectively develop and produce new build tooling components as per detail drawingsProduce accurate progressive, transfer and prototyping tool and die components as per drawings providedCompetently operate all Tool Room equipmentAssist in quoting and design activities as requiredRecord daily job numbers and hours at computer terminal in designated area.

All data must be entered into COSS manufacturing systemOther duties required in order to accommodate the customerRecord and/or report product damage/nonconformities to your supervisor as requiredComply with Quality Assurance policies and proceduresComply with company rules, regulations and policies as stated in the Employee HandbookProvide and/or participate in training as requiredAbide by all Company policies including, but not limited to the following:
Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies and the Martinrea Employee HandbookRequired Education and Experience:Must be able to read, write and speak English with good written and verbal communication skillsPossess Government issued Tool and Die Maker certificate of qualification, indicating completion of Government apprenticeshipMinimum 5 years jobbing shop experience in automotivePossess own tool and die equipmentGood understanding of International Standards Organization (ISO)

Knowledge of Quality Systems (QS)Statistical Process Control (SPC) skillsMust have reliable transportationAbility to communicate and work with fellow employees in a professional and respectful mannerCapable of operating all Tool Room equipmentCapable of reading and interpreting tool & die drawingsBenefits:
