- Planning and managing patient care according to each patient's needs
- Interviewing patients and recording their medical history
- Obtaining patient vital signs and escorting patients to their rooms
- Administering injections of medications
- Verifying that patient charts are updated promptly and accurately
- Observing and recording patients' conditions and reactions to medications and treatments
- Takes part in pre and post-op phone calls and communicates any problems to the appropriate person.
- Participate in staff development programs.
- Assist in patient education and rehabilitation for the promotion of physical and mental health.
- Comply with all HIPAA compliance policies. Participate in the discharge planning process.
- Supports nursing care standards through adherence to existing policies and procedures.
- Evaluates and notes the patient's response to nursing care defined in the nursing care plan and medical records.
- Assumes responsibility for professional growth by completing your Continuing Medical Education (CME/CNE) and all necessary state/federal mandated license requirements.
- Graduated from an accredited LPN/LVN Program or Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program as an LPN.
- Current NLNAC accredited state licensure as an LPN/LVN.
- CPR Certification for Health Providers
- BCLS certification is required. ACLS preferred.
- Minimum two years of Clinical experience, preferably in a specialty interventional pain management practice.
- Medical/Surgical experience in an ASC setting is highly preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate care plans to patients and teammates and chart information into Electronic Health Records.
