- Conduct functional behavioral assessments (FBAs) and develop behavior support plans (BSPs) based on results from the FBA
- Collects and analyzes data to inform data-based decisions
- Model, support, and provide feedback to relevant school staff on the implementation of BSPs
- Collaborate with building administrators, school staff, and professional learning communities to ensure student needs are being met
- Design and implement professional learning on core classroom management expectations and targeted behavior strategies
- Maintain student records of services provided, following due process best practices and compliance
- Participate in IEP and evaluation summary meetings, as appropriate
- Perform other related duties, as assigned
- Must have current Minnesota EBD, Autism or ABS teaching license.
- Bilingual preferred, but not required (English and Spanish)
- Experience in developing and providing direct social, emotional and behavioral instruction.
- Experience implementing strategies for improving social skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds weight (and/or up to adult-size body weight with two-to-three person lift).
- Experience with standardized assessment tools.
- Knowledge of Special Education Due Process procedures.
- Ability to effectively collaborate.
- Ability to communicate with parent/guardian and team members.
