Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
Assist with menu planning by suggesting creative ideas and seasonal specials that enhance the dining experience
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy hours, supporting smooth kitchen operations
Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, slicing, marinating, and portioning ingredients efficiently and safely
Follow all food safety regulations and procedures to prevent contamination and ensure guest safety
Support catering events by preparing large quantities of dishes while maintaining quality standards

Experience

Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is highly desirable, demonstrating familiarity with specialized meal requirements
Proven restaurant or fine dining experience showcasing strong food preparation and cooking skills
Knowledge of menu planning, food handling, and kitchen operations within the food industry
Skilled in culinary techniques including knife skills, meal preparation, and food presentation
Experience in food service environments that emphasize high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer satisfaction
Background in catering or large-scale meal preparation is a plus
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
