We are currently seeking an
Assembler to join our 1st Shift (M-Th, 6AM-4PM) Production team
.

As a Cree Lighting Assembler, you will assemble our LED lighting fixtures and systems, following work instructions and performing quality checks.

You will work in a clean and bright climate-controlled warehouse environment.

This work and team are ONSITE, with an HOURLY RATE starting at $16.00.

Responsibilities:


  • Performs product assembly and related activities for LED lighting fixtures and systems
  • Uses hand tools and equipment or machinery effectively according to standards
  • Interpret and follow work instructions to ensure product quality and efficient production workflow
  • Utilize computer touch screen to navigate and select correct work instructions and wiring diagrams
  • Works as an integral part of a team with flexibility on multiple product lines
  • Ability to understand production volume & quality and contributes to team or production line goals and timelines
  • Performs verification of picked materials against the work order bill of materials
  • Perform product testing and quality verification
  • Occasionally operate a pallet jack to move product
  • May also performs product labeling, date coding, and packaging duties
  • Completes all necessary work order documentation
  • Effectively communicates concerns and issues to Supervisor and participates in problem resolution
  • Acts responsibly to provide a safe work environment for all employees
  • Produces quality products that meet requirements of engineering, certification agency, and customer orders
  • Completes daily entry of personal or team productivity data
  • Contributes to team & shift productivity by personally following attendance guidelines and other department and company policies
  • Contributes to help maintain our Recycling Process

Qualifications:


  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Ability to constantly stand up for an entire 10 hour shift
  • Ability to frequently lift and carry 25 pounds and occasionally lift and carry 50 pounds
  • Ability to learn to navigate a computer
  • Ability to walk occasionally
  • Ability to twist/turn, stoop/bend, push/pull frequently
  • Ability to reach above shoulder, forearm rotation, and neck strain occasionally
  • Ability to read and write in English, count and perform basic math accurately
  • Ability to learn and operate hand and pneumatic assembly tools
  • Ability to read and understand a production work order
  • Able to learn to accurately assemble, code, test, label and pack product
  • Effectively contribute to end results as part of a team
  • Flexibility to occasionally work mandatory overtime to meet production goals
  • Comfortable wearing PPE such as: steel toes, safety glasses and gloves
  • Able to perform in a professional manner
  • Must be motivated and work with a sense of urgency

Preferences:


  • 6months of similar manufacturing experience preferred

Pay:
$ $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
