Schmitt Engineering is a medium-sized company headquartered in Erlangen. With many years of engineering expertise in various industries, we are a partner to the industry.

Our activities cover the entire process chain from planning and project management to development and construction, as well as production, assembly, and commissioning.

Your responsibilities will include conducting and managing studies on the analysis of electrical energy systems, network planning, and network development.

You will also be involved in planning and analyzing electrical energy systems, developing network structures, simulating electrical energy systems, and modeling electrical network elements, including power electronics.

This will require coordination and collaboration with engineers from different technical groups and virtual teams in a multicultural environment. Additionally, you will actively participate in pre-acquisition and sales activities to expand our business. You will also be responsible for integrating power electronic devices, renewable generators, storage systems, etc. into AC networks through concept studies, feasibility studies, tender studies, and project execution. This will involve coordinating with external partners and subcontractors.

To be successful in this role, you should have a degree in electrical engineering and control technology, energy technology, mechatronics, or a similar qualification.

You should also have professional experience in the field of energy systems, network planning, or network development, as well as a good understanding of power electronics.

Knowledge of simulation software such as MATLAB/Simulink, Powerfactory, etc. is also required. Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken, is necessary.
