    Description

    GEICO is seeking an Agile Delivery Lead III, with experience in Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe methodologies to support Agile Release Teams by providing visibility to feature deliverables, coaching team members on delivery best practices, all while communicating with leaders across the organization on delivery status.

    Position Description

    Our Agile Delivery Lead III is expected to have mastered all prior levels for the Agile Delivery Lead and be an expert in helping the development team become self-organized through effective communication, coordination, and cooperation. You are expected to be savvy in the skill of shielding the team from external influences that disrupt the flow of work and assist the development team in removing impediments as well as meeting their delivery goals and maximizing the value being delivered, all the while driving continuous improvement for your teams.

    Position Responsibilities

    As an Agile Delivery Lead III, you will:

    • Support one or more Agile teams through Kanban/Scrum Agile methodologies
    • Ensure team(s) maintains focus on quality and continuous delivery
    • Provide visibility into delivery targets, commitments, and progress
    • Be well-managed – understand and coach the team on delivery controls, compliance to minimize operational, and reputational risk
    • Understand domain architecture and targets to identify upstream and downstream dependencies and to support the team in risk management
    • Proactively identify impediments and appropriately resolve using network of peers and formal channels (including escalation if required)
    • Support Release Train Engineers, Product & Tech Teams to remove impediments and manage dependencies for delivery
    • Integrate Agile and Lean principles into team practices and work products
    • Coach Product Owner and team on backlog refinement and prioritization
    • Work with the Product Owner & development team to create and modify User Stories using the INVEST technique by making sure stories are Independent, Negotiable, Valuable, Estimable, Small and Testable
    • Assist your team in creating and maintaining a Definition of Done (DoD) and Definition of Ready (DoR) artifacts and establishing a sprint goal during sprint planning
    • Utilize team feedback and metrics (quality, delivery rate, etc.) to identify areas of opportunity and works with team to continuously improve
    • Innovate with practices and frameworks through experimentation to improve the team and their delivery
    • Develop understanding and encouragement of team's engineering innovation and improvement (engineering practices, DevOps, etc.)
    • Coach the team to improve collaboration and self-organization
    • Agile and Technical Learning: Actively seek and participate in a variety of learning opportunities such as Communities of Practice, conferences, classroom training, and independent study to further develop self and community
    • Communicate with leaders across the organization on a regular basis to ensure transparency into delivery, risks, issues, etc.
    • Be proficient in Azure DevOps
    • Be proficient in collaboration tools such as WIKI, SharePoint, or Confluence to support fellow teammates in delivering and maintaining high quality software products for their customers

    Qualifications

    • Experience in conflict Resolution techniques
    • Exibit active listening techniques
    • Strong Organization skills
    • A growth and agile mindset
    • The ability to develop skills necessary to act as an Agile Deliver Lead for multiple teams and participate in Scrum of Scrums (SoS)
    • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification
    • Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) or PMI's Agile Certified Professional (ACP) certification, preferred
    • SAFe certified or experience (or other scaled agile frameworks), preferred

    Experience

    • At least 3 years of Agile experience utilizing Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe methodologies (4+ Year Prefered)
    • At least 2 year of experience working with Tech / Engineering teams

    Education

    • Bachelor's Degree, preferred

    Annual Salary

    $100, $204,500.00

    The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/ annual salary to be offered to the selected candidate. Factors include, but are not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the role, the selected candidate's work experience, education and training, the work location as well as market and business considerations.
