Responsibilities:


Reporting to the VP, Marketing and Communications, the
Marketing Assistant plays a vital role in helping the Marketing Team meet its goals, operate efficiently, and execute marketing strategy for the health system.

Creative and detail-oriented, the Marketing Assistant organizes workflow and campaign plans, updates and maintains the project management system, assists with creative development of a wide variety of marketing collateral and campaigns, supports events, and coordinates invoicing and inventory.

The Marketing Assistant is adept at prioritizing and meeting deadlines, comfortable with working on multiple projects at a time, and actively participates in brainstorming and developing marketing and advertising concepts and strategies.


  • Maintains and updates project management system with relevant information, creates project plans, updates scheduling, and provides reporting working closely with team and leadership to prioritize and balance competing needs.
  • Proactively monitors deadlines, information, and deliverables in project management system. Keeps leadership and team up to date on project status and alerts them to projects needing attention to help ensure that work is moving efficiently through the department.
  • Assists with development and creation of marketing materials and campaigns.
  • Assists with set up, facilitation, and execution of marketing events and presence at community events.
  • Maintains a full understanding of marketing and communications schedule, priorities and processes.
  • Places promotional item and print item orders and maintains inventory of materials and marketing collateral.
  • Works with external vendors to coordinate deadlines and submission of materials.
  • Communicates with internal and external stakeholders to provide updates on status of work, projects, and requests when needed.
  • Coordinates submission of invoices to Accounts Payable and follows up when needed.
  • Schedules meetings as necessary.
  • Other duties as needed

Qualifications:

Education:


  • 2 year / Associate Degree, required
  • Marketing, communications, design, public relations, journalism or related field, preferred
  • Experience may be considered in lieu of education.
  • 4 year / Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, communications, design, public relations, journalism or related field, preferred

Experience:


  • Minimum 2 years experience in an administrative, executive assistant, operations, project management or relevant role, required
  • Minimum 1 year experience in marketing, communications, design, photography, social media or other related
experience, preferred

Physical Requirements:


  • Light Work
  • Exerting up to 20 lbs of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg control requires exertion of forces greater than that of sedentary work and if the worker sits most of the time, the job is considered light work.
